About Us

Lost dog tracking network (LDTN) is an organisation founded several years ago that now has several regional branches across the UK.
Lost Dog Tracking Network (Notts & Derby) was established in May 2025 when Jenny (regional coordinator for Notts & Derby) and her dog Voodoo passed their assessments to become operational.

Since June 2025 we have been working on building our specialised group and we now have 7 more dogs who passed assessments along with their handlers to become operational in May 2026.
To become operational our tracking dogs and handlers complete 3 courses run by the founder of LDTN and put this into practice with extensive training and incorporating various scenarios into the that training, such as aged trails, water crossings, situations where a scent may end (such as a picked-up dog) as well as training in Rural and Urban environments.
In total this takes approximately 12 months and at the end of course 3 both the dog and handlers are assessed. As well as dogs and handlers we also have several buddies who have been through the courses too and are able to support on operational searches to keep our teams safe. Everything we do provide is voluntary aiming to support owners with missing pets.
